“Do NOT ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself JumpJoy200 what makes you come alive, and go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

– Bailie

Are YOU willing to come back to life? Will you take a gamble and dream again, no matter your age, stage or walk of life?  Are YOU unwilling to stay broken, refusing to believe you’re just a pawn of fate? Great — you’re among like-minded souls! This book — and website — was designed with exactly you in mind.

Here’s just a representative sample of the author’s dreams-come-true — and if it can happen for her, it can happen for ANYONE!

Study Physics In 2013, at the age of 37, got into the Physics program at her dream school, New Mexico Tech. Will be attending in Fall of 2014. Note that this is a top science and engineering school, and her current degree is in elementary education (!)
Update: She recently received a scholarship worth almost 40K! As Paolo Coelho once wrote: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to acheive it.”
Write a Book In 2010, she got a book contract for The Year of Yes (originally titled The Ballad of Cinderella Jones.) The publisher ended up folding during the recession but, still… it was a book contract! The final product — which was 7 years in the making — is available here.
Write for TV and Film In 2010, she was accepted into Act One, a respected Hollywood screenwriting program. Learned from faculty like Jack Gilbert, former director of the Warner Bros. Writing Workshop, and Key Payton, one of L.A.’s top “script doctors.” Wrote her first full-length feature.
Dance Professionally Got accepted into a well-known city dance troupe, Urban 15, and later studied flamenco in Seville, Spain. (Note: This warrants a quick story! Like most child abuse survivors, the author had a real issue with lack of coordination. This is typical of this group, because most survivors spent their formative years so tense and terrified of making mistakes that they could never really relax into their body. Couple that with performance anxiety in a group setting, and it was a recipe for pure hell – not to mention funky dance/athletic moves. Conquering this fear, for the author, was absolutely huge.)
Run a 5K In 2013, she ran her first 5K…and loved it! Now working toward a marathon.
Learn Piano and eventually play Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” As a kid, the author was absolutely dying for music lessons. Never happened. At age 23, she began taking piano lessons. A year later the author bought a baby grand and in 2013, finally slurred her way through “Moonlight Sonata” in its entirety.
Travel and Live Abroad In 2000, the author bought a passport. That year she went to Guatemala on a missions trip. In 2006, she finally got to move to the Mexican Caribbean (gorgeous!) and, later, Spain. In 2011, Victoria spent three months in South America.
Get a college degree After receiving her GED and going to community college, Victoria transferred to the university. In 2001, she graduated from the Honors College summa cum laude – and this was NOT education coursework! 🙂  She was the first college graduate in her family in two generations.

Listen, poverty doesn’t matter, race doesn’t matter, lack of opportunity or  money or self-confidence or mentors or connections or education DON’T MATTER.  What DOES matter is taking the time to hear your TRUE SELF – your heart – and trusting the INVISIBLE HAND to guide you from that point on. Miracles follow passion! There is a LARGER HAND AT WORK THAN WHAT YOU CAN SEE.  But, we must do our part.
